Ogun Sets Up Business Advisory Council

Ogun State government has established a business advisory council to monitor business growth in the state.

The state government says it is also promoting a Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme to fast track the execution of infrastructural projects.

Governor Dapo Abiodun announces this while speaking during the 2019 Independence Day celebration at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto in Abeokuta.

He explained that the idea of business advisory council and PPP programme is to create an environment conducive to business, which will be driven by experts.

On the new job portal, Abiodun says over 110 thousand applicants have now registered on the portal.

On the current xenophobic attack in South Africa, the governor urged Nigerians to drop any plan to seek greener pasture in foreign lands.

The independent celebration featured a march pass by artisans, civil societies, students from primary and secondary school, and labour unions.

Also at the event were Deputy Governor Noimot Salako Oyedele, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, former Governors Daniel Akintande, Saidu Balogun, Rasheed Raji, and top security officers in the state.

Others are the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya, who represented the Awujale of Ijebuland, the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, and lawmakers.
