Ogun State government has rewarded four of its staff with houses at the AAK Degun Estate at Laderin, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, for outstanding performances.
The four lucky workers are Rachael Adekoya of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Sule Isiaka of the Governor’s Office, Waheed Adesina and Wole Dosunmu both of the Information and Strategy Ministry,
The governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Monday December 2, 2016 while handing over keys of two bedroom flat to each of them during the first phase of presentation of keys to civil servants who applied for housing unit in the estate, said that his administration has fulfilled the promise of affordable housing scheme to civil servants in the state.
Explaining why these civil servants were picked out for the reward, Governor Amosun said it was simply to show that hard work and dedication to duty pays.
He explained that in the case of Adekoya, she was picked for the reward because of her selfless and untiring service as a traffic officer. “Come rain, come sunshine, she is always at her duty post working and she never knew that I was noticing her,” the governor said.
Amosun who also commissioned 116 shops at Laderin market in the estate, further spoke on the categories of people that will benefit from the various ongoing housing projects in the state.
He explained that the A.A.K Degun Estate, successfully completed by his administration was designed and constructed to meet the needs of middle-income earning civil servants as a way of helping them to realize their dreams of becoming house owners.
