Ogun Records No Covid Death In 36 Days, Now Has Only 19 Patients

New 248 Covid-19 Cases

Ogun State has been spared of death from covid 19 pandemic in the past thirty six days, according to data sourced from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)

The last time Covid 19 death was recorded in the state was on March 12, 2021, when the state recorded two deaths, raising its death toll from the virus to 49

Also, two thousand and 15 new cases of the virus were recorded across the state since last January 1

As at last January 1, the state had recorded 2,524 confirmed cases, which rose to 4,639 on Saturday

Within the period under review, a total of 2,289 Covid 19 patients were treated and discharged from their various homes, and from isolation centres at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta and Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu

So far, 52,462 persons, mostly health workers, had been vaccinated against the virus across the state, in the first phase of the nationwide inoculation exercise

Over 100,000 doses of astrazeneca vaccines was allocated to the state out of the first batch of 3.9 million doses Nigeria took its delivery early March.
