A community policing information network, has been set up by the new Ogun State Police Commissioner, Kenneth Ebrimson, as part of measures to effectively secure the state from criminals, during the yuletide season.

The information network has been activated from Tuesday, December 10 till the next two weeks, to enable members of the public provide security tips, to prevent incidents of kidnapping, armed robbery and cultism, particularly during the Yelitide Season.
Ebrimson unveils the new security measure, while fielding questions from newsmen, after a closed door meeting with Governor Dapo Abiodun at the governor’s office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
He asks residents to take advantage of the information network, by calling any of the mobile telephone numbers, to report any suspicious movement within their communities to the police for prompt response.
The information network, according to the police chief, also has mobile telephone lines of other top police officers, of other states within the south west region, for travellers to report any robbery incident or suspicious movement on the highways during the period..
