Ogun Police Caution Public on Cultists

Police have warned members of the public in Ogun State to beware of cultists in their communities

The state police commissioner, Edwards Ajogun, urges them no to allow cultists to fester in their localities, because they are associated with various crimes

Ajogun spoke, following the arrest of three suspected armed robbers terrorizing Iju and Ota axis by police, who recovered one locally made pistol and two live cartridges from them

The suspects, Bamidele Oluwasina, Adebowale Kehinde and Oluwasegun Abayomi, were arrested last Thursday when their gang invaded around Iju love Bustop and tipper garage, robbing people of their valuables

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, says that policemen from the Onipanu police division, following a distress call, moved to the scene of the robbery and engaged members of the robbery gang in gun duel

Oyeyemi says that one suspect was arrested by the police when the robbers were escaping following the superior firepower of the police Two others were arrested during a search of the area by the police and members of the community
