Two suspects are now in police net in Ogun State, for allegedly killing their neighbour, after stealing his Bajaj motorcycle, in Ijebu Ode.
The body of their victim, was allegedly concealed in a sack and dumped in a nearby bush.
The suspects, Patrick Udom from Akwa-Ibom state, and James Roland from Delta State, reside in Imodi-Imosan with their victim, identified as happy Patrick.
Spokesman of the Ogun state Police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspects were arrested following a complaint by the victim’s elder brother, Moses Utuede, that his brother, left home last Tuesday morning and failed to return home.
Oyeyemi explained that police officers led by the Obalende Divisional Police Officer, Jaiye Richard, embark on a full scale investigation of the sudden disappearance of the victim.
The investigation, according to the police spokesman, revealed that the victim was last seen with Udom, who was promptly arrested and led the police team to effect the arrest of James, who allegedly assisted him in killing the victim.
Oyeyemi said the suspects during interrogation allegedly confessed to killing the victim, in order to steal his motorcycle.
Items recovered from the suspects include two cutlasses allegedly used to kill their victim, a hammer and a digger.
