Ogun permits government nurses to run private clinic, maternity homes

Auxiliary Nurses banned from operating

Ogun State government has given nurses on its payroll, permission to establish and operate private clinics and maternity homes.

Director of Nursing Services of the state Hospital Management Board, Mrs Patience Odutayo, announced this in Abeokuta, in an interview with newsmen on the sideline of the leadership workshop for Ogun State nurses.

Odutayo, however, asked government nurses seeking to establish clinics and maternity homes, to ensure they meet the necessary requirements.

She also explained that such nurses must also be educated and obtain licences for the project.
