The Adebayo Dayo-led Ogun State PDP executive committee says it will remain in control of the party’s state secretariat till the year 2020.
It rejected a caretaker committee about to be appointed in Ado Ekiti, by the South West PDP reconciliation committee, to take over the party’s secretariat at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
PDP faction chairman, Engineer Adebayo Dayo, who gave this indication at a news conference in Abeokuta, explained that, the Supreme Court’s verdict, which reinstated the national caretaker committee, does not empower the delegates at the PDP non-elective national convention, to dissolve Ogun state executive committee.
He asks PDP national caretaker committee to go to the Appeal Court, to challenge the subsisting Federal High Court judgement, which recognized Ogun State executive committee, before replacing it with a caretaker committee.
The PDP delegates at last Saturday’s special non-elective national convention, had approved the dissolution of Ogun state committee and those of Oyo, Lagos and Osun states, in the South West region.
