Ogun PDP Cautions Makinde

Ogun PDP Crisis Not Yet Over, As Kasamu Faction Sacks Sodipo

Ogun state Adebutu PDP faction has asked Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, to stop interfering in the Ogun state PDP crisis

Spokesman of the PDP faction, Bankole Akinloye, gives this indication, while reacting to Makinde’s visit to former governor Gbenga Daniel on Wednesday, at his Sagamu residence, during which he asked him to take over the leadership of Ogun state PDP

Akinloye, speaking to Rockcity FM correspondent, Tobi Ojeleye, says although Makinde is PDP leader in south west region, he needs to carry along all PDP factions in the state and stop favouring one of them

The Adebutu faction is loyal to south west PDP faction led by former governor Ayodele Fayose, while the rival Kasamu faction is supporting Makinde in the battle for the control of the party in the region

Akinloye says that his faction is not opposed to Makinde wooing Daniel back to PDP, and asking Daniel to lead the PDP in the state, because he will be of a great value to the party in the state

According to him, Daniel who left the party and partisan politics in 2019, will be welcome back to Ogun state PDP anytime he wishes to do so, considering his leadership role in the state’s PDP in the past. Akinloye, however, says that Daniel should follow the appropriate channel to return to the state PDP
