Ogun Owes N90bn, $102m To Local And External Debts-Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has put the debt profile of the state at n90 billion, and 102 million dollars, as external debt, as at May 2019.

Amosun gives an insight into the debt burden while receiving the leaders of the Organised Labour at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan in Abeokuta.

Amosun explains that the domestic debt which was n98 billion as at last December dropped to n90 billion after it paid n8 billion out of the debt.

On the ongoing projects, Amosun says his administration has completed the cash payment to contractors for some of the projects which President Muhamadu Buhari will be commissioning.

Meanwhile, Governor Ibikunle Amosun says he has disbursed a total of n800 billion, as salaries to Ogun State workers in the last eight years.

The Governor says he plans to set aside a sum of n40 billion for the payment of contributory pension scheme from the refund for the reconstructed federal roads in the State from the Presidency.
