Ogun State’s new Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who resumes duty on Thursday, has avoided using the Office vacated by Former Governor Ibikunle Amosun at the Governor’s Office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Among the first acts by the new Governor was convening of the meeting of the State Security Council, during which he met heads of security agencies in the State.
He also met with the Head of Civil Service and Permanent Secretaries in the State’s Ministries, Department and Agencies, lasting more than seven hours.
The Governor, accompanied by Former Deputy Governor Segun Adesegun and Salisu Shuaib, who is a Former Deputy Chief of Staff to Former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, moved round the complex before settling down.
Offices visited include block ‘a’ of the Civil Service Commission and Finance Ministry, where he met with Permanent Secretaries behind close doors.
He later visited the Ministries of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and the Obas Council Chamber, where he was received by some of the State’s traditional rulers.
Other places visited by the Governor include Education, Science and Technology Ministry, as well as Justice Ministry, Offices of Head of Civil Service, Governor’s Office and Office of the Chief of Staff.
Abiodun was welcomed to the Secretariat complex by civil servants, who cheered and sang for him.
He arrived at the complex at 9.32 am, and was received by the Head of the State Civil Service, Lanre Bisiriyu, and Permanent Secretaries.
