Ogun State Government is upgrading the job portal it opened last week, to facilitate the creation of new jobs for unemployed youths in the state.
The portal, which was a pet project of the Abiodun administration was declared opened Wednesday night for registration by jobless youths.
Few hours after, the portal crashed, following thousands of unemployed youths who scrambled to log onto it.
The Information and Communication Technology Department of the State Government is currently working on the crashed platform.
The State Government had directed applicants to visit the website address, www.iseya.ng/public to register with their information and qualification, promising to match them with their potential employers.
Hundreds of applicants, who visited the site, few hours after the announcement told Rockcity FM that the site was not found on the internet server.
By last Thursday evening, some of the applicants who later visited the site told Rockcity FM that they were able to fill the job description form, but could not attach their curriculum vitae.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin, reacting to the development told Rockcity FM that the government is aware of the difficulties being experienced by the applicants.
He explains that the site developers are resolving technical issues, which made the portal inaccessible to applicants.
Somorin urges the applicants to revisit the job portal from Tuesday, July 16, to register.
