Ogun Job Portal Gives 20 Unemployed Youths Jobs

Ogun State government has offered automatic employment to 20 unemployed youths with the launch of its long awaited job portal.

The lucky 20 youths scored high points in an online test at the launch of the job portal on Thursday in Abeokuta witnessed by more than 2,000 youths.

Vice President, Yemi Osibajo, graced the event.

The Special Adviser to the governor on job creation, Olalekan Olude, said the 20 youths would be employed into the Ogun State Civil Service.

Governor Dapo Abidoun, at the launch, said the job portal would provide quality candidates for companies in the state seeking to recruit workers for their various operations.

He said his administration would soon send a local content bill to the state house of assembly to compel investors in the state to employ more youths in the state.

The Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbnle, urged the state government to compel companies in the state to source for employers on the job portal.
