Ogun Evacuates Indigenes From Unijos, Over Fresh Conflict In Jos

Ogun state government has started evacuating stranded students of Ogun State origin, who are studying at the University Of Jos (UNIJOS), following fresh killings in Jos, the Plateau State capital

Also being evacuated from the troubled city are members of National Youth Service Corps who are state indigenes, stranded in the troubled axis of Jos

Authorities of UNIJOS had already suspended the ongoing second semester examination, and shut the campus, following killing of four students in the renewed killings in the state

The state governor’s assistant on student’s affairs, Azeez Adeyemi, addressing newsmen in Abeokuta on Sunday, says that five buses had been provided for the evacuation exercise on the order of Governor Dapo Abiodun

Adeyemi explains that the evacuation exercise is being implemented in conjunction with the National Association Of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the National Association Of Ogun State Students (NAOGSS)

According to the president of Ogun State Students Association, Oluwagbemileke Ogunrombi says that more than 80 of the stranded students and NYSC members had been evacuated
