Ogun engages 558 new staff

Ogun warns workers on planned strike

Ogun state government has employed 558 new staff into its ministries, departments and agencies.

The five hundred and fifty eight staff are among the 3,500 candidates who wrote the January 2016 public service entry examination conducted by the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Topo, near Badagry.

The examination was conducted for candidates into the senior cadres of the civil service namely, agriculture officers, information officers, administrative officers, education officers among others.

The list of successful candidates was posted on the notice board of the Ogun State Civil Service Commission at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

The permanent secretary in the state Civil Service Commission, Mrs Ajibola Chokor, in a release, asked the new staff to collect their letter of appointment at the commission’s office.

They are expected to resume duties next year.
