Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State

Ogun state government has deployed some civil servants from the state’s 20 local governments, to the newly created 37 local council development areas, for effective running of the councils.

The elected LCDA officials, inaugurated last October 10, by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, have been running their councils without staff.

The transferred councils workers, have been directed by the Ogun State Local Government Civil Service Commission, to immediately report to their new posting on Wednesday, after the Eid-el-Fitr holiday.

Last May, the state local government and chieftancy affairs commissioner, Chief Jide Ojuko, had told Rockcity FM in an interview, that the state government was still working on the modality for sharing the assets of the 20 local governments with the LCDAs, before the deployment of civil servants to the LCDAs, but the assets are yet to be shared.
