Ogun Committee Asks Farmers To Keep Off Farms In Yewa North

Ogun State farmers/herders peace building committee has asked farmers in Ogun State’s border communities in Yewa axis to stay away from their farms, until further notice

The committee warns the farmers not to go to their farms, until the state government provide maximum security to prevent further attacks of killer herders on the communities

Chairman of the committee set up by Governor Dapo Abiodun, to tackle farmers-herders clashes, Honorable Kayode Oladele, who issued the warning, says the state government is working out the modalities to effectively protect the areas against attacks by killer herders

Oladele, who spoke while leading members of the committee on the spot visit to communities affected by recent attacks by killer herders in Yewa North local government area, says government does not want fresh casualties in the area

Those who accompanied him on the visit included the state commissioner for budget and planning Mr. Laolu Olabimtan, the state deputy commissioner of police, operations, Mr. Abdullahi, , other top government officials and security operatives

Oladele commends people in the area for being peaceful and not taking law into their own hand despite challenges they are facing from herders
