Ogun begins work on Atan/Agbara road, bridge

Amosun seeks equal powers by FG and states to resolve areas of conflicts

The construction work has begun on a six lane 12-kilometres expressway linking  Atan with Agbara in the Ado- Odo Ota local government area of Ogun state.

The project include a 600 metres bridge from Lusada junction.

Works and infrastructure commissioner, Olamilekan Adegbite who made this known to newsmen in Abeokuta, says some houses have been demolished for the project.

Adegbite stated that, “The contractor has been mandated to start work at two locations; he is going to start the road from Atan and there is a great separator at Lusada; and the contractor will start the bridge at the same time at Lusada junction.

“We have given it careful planning; the contractor has been mobilised with substantial amount of money, so I think all things being equal, we should complete it before the expiration of the second term of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.”

The contractor handling the project, according to the commissioner have been mobilised with fund to start the construction and meet the delivery period
