Ogun State House of Assembly has expressed concern over the low revenue drive of the state Bureau of Transportation (BOT) and the state Parks and Garages Development Board (PAGADEB).
The Bureau of Transport generated only #748, 000 between January and June 2019.
The #748,000 revenue is less than two percent of the #45 million revenue it projected for the 2019 fiscal year in the 2019 budget.
On its own, PAGADEB also generated only #297, 900 within the same period out of the targeted #10 million.
The House Transport Committee Chairman, Daisi Elemide, expressed concern during the visit of the committee to the two agencies on its assessment of the 2019 budget performance.
Elemide says, the consultant in charge of parks development levy will be summoned alongside transport unions leaders to explain the reason for the low revenue generation by the Transport Bureau.
The committee also demands detailed financial report on rent collected by PAGADEB as at last May, on lock up shops at the Ogere Trailers Park.
