Ogun Assembly Okays Governor’s Request To Appoint 22 Special Advisers

Ogun state House of Assembly has approved the request of Former Governor Dapo Abiodun for the appointment of Special Advisers.
The approved appointments are for two Senior Special Advisers and 20 Special Advisers.
The Speaker, Olukunle Oluomo, reads a letter dated by July 2, from the Governor requesting the interim appointments.
The appointments are to be made by the Governor pending the constitution of his cabinet.
The House approval, followed a motion by the House majority leader, Yusuf Sheriff, seconded by Bolanle Ajayi, and approved by the whole House through a voice vote.
Since assuming office last May 29, the Governor had only appointed three major appointments, including those of the Secretary to the State Government, his Chief of Staff and Chief Press Secretary.
