Ogun asks security forces to secure its communities against militants

Governor Ibikunle Amosun has called for the involvement of all the security agencies in clearing the suspected Niger Delta Militants from the Arepo, Ogijo, Mowe and Ibafo axis of Ogun state.

Amosun particularly wants the involvement of the Nigerian Navy in the operation, because the militants invaded the state through the network of rivers in the areas.

The Governor speaking while receiving the flag officer commanding the Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Ferguson Bobai, in his office in Abeokuta, said he had written to all the Security Agencies Chiefs to prevent the militants from turning Ogun state into a security crisis zone.

Amosun also spoke on the oil rich Tongeji Island in the Yewa axis of the state.
