Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has said that he went through a turbulent period than any governor in Nigeria, to emerge as the elected governor of the state.
Abiodun also says, he had so far survived nine electoral litigations, including the Ogun State APM petition against him, which was dismissed by a poll petitions tribunal on Saturday.
The governor spoke on the issue, while fielding questions from newsmen, on the sideline of the opening of the second plenary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria in Abeokuta.
Governor Abiodun says, he monitored the proceedings of the State Governorship Poll Tribunal on Saturday, from the Burkinabe capital, where he was in the entourage of President Muhammadu Buhari, to the extra-ordinary summit of ECOWAS on counter terrorism.
He regards his victory at the tribunal, as a further indication of his divine mandate to lead Ogun State, at this particular moment.
The governor thanked Ogun state APC for standing by him throughout the trying period of his governorship struggle, describing them as very discipline, resilient and supportive.
