The Ogun state’s proposed 2021 appropriation bill has passed through the second reading in the state house of assembly, a day after it was presented by governor Dapo Abiodun
Abiodun on Wednesday had presented a n339 billion bill to the house, including n162 billion for recurrent expenditure and n177 billion for capital projects
The house majority leader, Yusuf Sheriff, moved a motion during the Thursday plenary for the second reading of the bill
He was seconded by the chief whip, Atinuke Bello and supported through a voice vote by the whole house
After an extensive debate by the lawmakers, the speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, commends them for their robust deliberation to ensure the emergence of all-inclusive bill for the socio-economic development of the state He ordered the transfer of the bill to the house finance and appropriation committee for further legislative action
