Encomium has been showered on the Deputy General Manager (news) of the Ogun state Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) Prince Toyin Gbadebo) who retired after 35 years of service with the radio station.
Several of his colleagues including , the State Governor Special Assitant on Media ,Yemisi Fadairo, the station’s General Manager , Engineer Tunde Awolana, the station Assistant General Manager, Busayo Olaifa; former Director, Ogun State Television(OGTV), Biodun Odetoyinbo, former Assistant General Manager (OGTV), Demola Odusanya lauded the qualities of Gbadebo at a sent forth party held at the radio station complex in Abeokuta,
Awolana, who was full of praises for Gbadebo, said it is the grace of god to retire from service without blemish, asking other staff still in service to show equal commitment.
For Busayo Olaifa and other news room staff, Gbadebo was a bridge builder between the management and staff.
Speaking on his retirement Gbadebo said he would continue to write for love of journalism, while lauding the effort of the station board chairman, Mr. Jare Dada for contributing to his journalism career.
High point of the ceremony was the presentation of gift by the station’s newsroom staff and the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).
