Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has asked Oyo State Governor-Elect, Seyi Makinde, to avoid corruption and improve governance in the State.
The Governor-Elect, according to him, must be transparent, and execute developmental projects that will endear his administration to the people.
Obasanjo who gives the advice while receiving Makinde at his Abeokuta residence, also asks him to upgrade the status of Ibadan, and promote unity between him, his deputy and members of his team.
The Governor thanks Obasanjo for the opportunity given him to visit him, promising to visit him from time to time for his advice.
Makinde was accompanied on the visit by Chief Bode George, Deputy Governor Elect, Akeem Ademola, Oyo State PDP Chairman, Kunmi Mustapha, and his Lagos State counterpart, Dominc Agboola.
