NSCDC TASKS OGUN OFFICERS ON SECURITY

Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSDC) has directed its divisional officers in Ogun State to be up to task of securing their respective areas from criminal elements

The state commandant, Kolawole Taiwo who issues the directive says officers of the corps in the state have been trained to effectively tackle oil pipeline vandalism and kidnapping

Taiwo speaking at a two day workshop organised by the corps for its divisional officers in Abeokuta, also says that the undercover officers of the corps are now operating across the state, exposing kidnappers, cultists and pipeline vandals

The NSCDC commandant also says that had created 62 divisions of the corps, since he assumed office in the state last June to provide security at the grassroots

On pipeline vandalization, Taiwo says the vandals are not directly operating in the state, but at the Lagos end of the state’s border

According to him, the vandals used Ogun State waterways to transport their vandalized products, most of which, according to him were always seized by NSCDC patrol and handed over to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
