NPFL: MFM Tops Table Despite 1-0 Loss To Kwara Utd

MFM maintained top spot in group a of the Nigeria Professional Football going down to a 1-0 defeat against Kwara United in Ilorin on Sunday.

MFM top the table with 23 points from 14 games.

Former champions Rangers moved to second position in the table with 21 points from 10 games.

Following a 1-0 win against Katsina United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu with Seka Pascal netting the decisive goal on 13 minutes.

In Aba, Enyimba failed to make home advantage count as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Bendel Insurance.

Wikki Tourists jumped from eighth to fourth place in the table following a hard fought 2-1 home win against Remo Stars at the Pantami Stadium.

At the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers United extended their unbeaten streak to two games after a 31st minute goal scored by Wasiu Jimoh against Niger Tornadoes.

Also,Akwa United returned to first position in group b after a comfortable 2-0 win against Gombe United at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo.

Kano Pillars defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 2-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium courtesy of two fine strikes from Gambo Muhammed and David Ibuka.

Plateau United and Heartland Battled to a 0-0 draw in Jos, while Delta Force also held their hosts Yobe Desert Stars to a barren draw in Damaturu.
