NOISE MAKING: Lagos shut down Churches, Mosques and Night Clubs

Lagos State Government has continued its campaign to reduce noise level in Lagos metropolis by shutting down 70 Churches and 20 Mosques.

Also shut down by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) are 11 Hotels, Club Houses and Beer Parlors.

The Agency General Manager, Bola Shabi, who puts the noise level now at 35 per cent, said its enforcement would continue to make Lagos a noise free city by the year 2020.

He said Mosques have been complying with the directive on level of noise than Churches.

Shabi said the agency would no longer allow people to pray in makeshift buildings and tents.
