Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has appealed to government to ensure the implementation of the #30, 000 minimum wage on or before the mayday celebration by workers, on May 1.
The Senate last week joined the House of Representatives, in approving the proposed n30, 000 national minimum wage.
But the National Assembly is yet to transmit the new wage bill to President Mohammadu Buhari for his assent.
NLC acting President, Najeem Yasin, however says, the battle for the new wage is not over until Buhari gives his assent to the bill.
He commended the National Assembly for approving the new wage, and asks Buhari to sign it into law and ensure its implementation on or before May 1.
