NLC Demands N50,000 Wage For Lagos Workers:-Civil servants in Lagos state have rejected the new n30,000 national minimum wage whose adjustment for workers on senior cadre is still being negotiated
Nigeria labour congress (NLC) says workers on the ;payroll of the State Government must be paid a minimum of n50,000 and n15,000 hazard allowance monthly as from this month
The state NLC chairman, Funmi Sessi, made the fresh demand, while addressing workers during a march to the state house of assembly at Alausa, Ikeja
She explains that workers in Lagos deserve a separate minimum wage, because of the high cost of living in the state
According to the labour leader, the expenditure of an average worker on transport, house rent and other bills is far higher than their counterparts in Ogun State.
