Nine Suspected Land Grabbers In Ogun Police Net

Nine members of land grabbing syndicate have been rounded up by Police near Ewekoro in Ogun State

They were arrested while attacking two persons developing their land at Agbogun village on Saturday

The suspects are Gbenga Odeniyi, Owolabi Shobanjo, Michael Ramoni, Idowu Dauda, Femi Fadaunsi, Rasmus Ahmed, Ade Lukman, Yakubu Akinwande and Sikiru Balogun

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, says members of the land grabbing syndicate from Sango Ota, Gasline, and Atan, invaded the village, attacked and extorted two land owners developing their site

Following a distress call, Oyeyemi says that a police team from the Obada Oko divisional headquarters raced to the village and caught the land grabbers in the act

According to him, the land grabbers fled at the sight of police team, but the police chased them and arrested nine of them The State Police Commissioner, Edwards Ajogun, has ordered a manhunt for the other members of the land grabbing syndicate
