Nigeria’s internet subscribers drop by 606,000 by January 2017

The number of Nigerians browsing on the internet reduced by 605,586 subscribers in the month of January 2017, according to data sourced from the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC).

According to NCC in its monthly internet subscriber data, the number of internet subscribers dropped to 91 million, 274 thousand and 446 in January from 91 million, 880 thousand and 32.

Subscribers on MTN dropped to 31 million, 15 thousand and 45, from 31 million, 753 thousand and 369 in December 2016.

For Airtel, its subscribers base rises to 19 million, 618 thousand and 485 against 19 million, 363 thousand and 45 in December 2016.

Etisalat also has its subscribers base dropped from 13 million, 752 thousand and 940 in December 2016 to 13 million, 564 thousand and 284 last month.

Globacom, however increased the number of its subscribers to 27 million, 76 thousands and 272 in January 2017, from 27 million, 1o thousand and 178 in December 2016.
