Nigeria’s Flamingoes in slim chances to secure FIFA U-17 ticket

Nigeria to play Ethiopia or Kenya in U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers

Nigeria’s Flamingoes are walking on a tight rope to secure one of Africa’s qualification tickets, at the 2018 FIFA under-17 women’s World Cup, following the two-all draw at home with Cameroon.

The qualifier played in Benin City, saw Flamingoes failing to hold on to their early lead, through Vincent Precious second minute’s goal, allowing Cameroon to draw level.

Flamingoes must beat Cameroon away in Yaounde in the return leg, holding in a fortnight, to book their place in Uruguay later in the year.

Nigeria has participated in every edition of the FIFA under-17 women’s World Cup, since it began in New Zealand in 2008, reaching the quarter-finals in Trinidad and Tobago (2010), Azerbaijan (2012) and Costa Rica, in (2014).
