Nigeria’s Crude Oil Output rises to 2.1 MBD

Nigeria’s Crude Oil

Nigeria’s daily crude oil production has climbed up to 2.1 million barrels daily, after a sharp drop caused by militant attacks in the Niger Delta Region.

The figure, however, is still about 100,000 barrels below the normal production level of 2.2 million barrels.

Petroleum Resources Minister of State, Ibe Kachikwu, made this known while speaking to the State House Correspondents, after a meeting of the Niger Delta Leaders with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Minister said he was hopeful that there would be no militant’s attacks on oil installations in the Niger Delta Region in 2017, attributing the lull in militant’s attacks on behind the scene engagement with major stakeholders in the region.
