Nigeria’s Covid-19 Cases

Nigeria’s confirmed Covid-19 cases has jumped to 1,532, as the country moves towards easing the four weeks old lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja.

The figure surges to 1,532, following 195 new cases recorded on Tuesday night, the 195 new cases are the highest recorded in a single day, since the outbreak of Covid-pandemic in Nigeria.

Out of the new cases, Lagos state has 80, followed by Kano with 38, Ogun (15), Bauchi (15), Borno (11), Gombe (10), Sokoto (9), Edo (5), Jigawa (5), and Zamfara (2)

Rivers, Enugu, Delta, Abuja, and Nasarawa state record one case each.

Out of the total 1,532 people infected by the virus nationwide, 44 had died while receiving treatment, while 255 others had been discharged after successful treatment.
