Nigeria’s Chief Justice warns Judges on unethical practices

Nigeria’s acting chief justice, Walter Onoghenon, has warned judicial officers against unethical practices, including corrupt practices.

Justice Onoghenon, addressing the 2016 conference of all Nigeria Judges of lower courts in Abuja, promises to wield big stick against any judge found to be corrupt.

Justice Onoghenon, speaking for the first time after taking over from the immediate past Nigeria’s chief justice, Mahmud Mohammed, says corrupt practices by some of the judges have exposed the judiciary to endless criticism from members of the public.
