Nigerian Players On Fire In Europe

Several of Nigerian players that were on target for their European clubs in league matches on September 1.

In a Premier League match at Goodison Park, Alex Iwobi marked his full debut for Everton with a goal in the 12th minute as they registered a 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Another Arsenal product Chuba Akpom also celebrated his first league goal of the season as Paok Thessaloniki claimed a hard fought 2-1 win against Panionios in the Greek Super League.

Ex-Flying Eagles Captain Ramon Azeez helped Granada register an impressive 3-0 victory at Espanyol in La Liga, scoring in the 74th minute after coming off the bench.

In Norway, three goals were scored by Molde’s Ohi Omoijuanfo, Sandnes Ulf’sakinshola Akinyemi and Hamarkameratene’s Abubakar Aliyu.
