Officers of the Nigerian Army, 35 artillery brigade Alamala, Abeokuta have been charged to maintain high level of discipline in the state.
They have also been charged to always give proper mentorship and guidance to their subordinates.
The commander of army 35 artillery brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Brigadier General Isah Mahadi Abdullahi, who assumed duty as the 10th brigade commander last December 10, pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor.
According to him, his predecessor, Brigadier Adewale Adekoya, did a great job to sustain maximum security in Ogun State.
Last October 4, the Nigerian Army, under the command of Brigadier Adewale Adekoya, flagged off a three month special operation to rid Ogun State of criminal elements ahead of the yuletide season.
The special operation, which is to end by December 24, involves the presence of troops across the state working with other security agencies.
The operation tagged ‘Exercise Still Waters’ was designed to tackle armed banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, smuggling, destruction of forest reserves and reckless driving on highways in the state.
The outgone brigade commander urged officers and men of the Nigerian Army to give the same level of support that was accorded him to the new brigade commander so as to sustain efficiency in troops.
