The catholic bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, has asked government to give attention to victims of armed banditry, kidnapping and terrorism in the country
The cleric accuses government of giving more attention to the rehabilitation of armed bandits, insurgents and kidnappers, while abandoning their victims
Kukah in his Easter message, says the approach is responsible for the growing ranks of armed bandits, insurgents and terrorists in the country
He says that insurgents, kidnappers and armed bandits have turned Nigeria into a massive killing field
According to Kukah, victims of those kidnapped or killed and their families are being left to cry and buried their loved ones alone, without any form of support from government
For instance, Bishop Kukah says government has not introduced any programme for school children who were abducted by kidnappers and have their education disrupted
