Nigeria drop six places in FIFA ranking, now 44th

Super Eagles play draw with Cameroon, move closer to 2018 World Cup qualification

Nigeria have slipped six places to forty fourth from thirty eight position in the latest edition of the FIFA rankings, despite a decent performance against Cameroon in the World Cup Qualifier.

However, the Super Eagles made slight progress in the African rankings moving one spot to fifth position, ahead of African Champions, Cameroon who fell 10 places to number 45 in the world and sixth in Africa.

Nigeria’s next opponent in the race to Russia 2018, Zambia zoomed 18 places up (78th in the world) after recording a double against Algeria.
