Nigeria Customs Service has cried out over the rising cases of military hardware being imported into the country without approval from the appropriate authorities.
The items, according to the Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos Command of the agency, include military hardware, drone, military uniforms and accessories.
The command spokesman, Ephraim Haruna, in a statement, said between January and March this year, the command impounded a consignment of military hardware imported into the country through the airport.
He listed the items as including 20 pieces of assorted optical sight gadgets which were wrapped in military camouflage uniform for rifles and grenade launchers.
Others are military shin and knee guards, police officers cardigans and drone.
