Nigeria Airforce Takes Delivery Of Remaining Tucano Plane In September

Nigeria Airforce is to take delivery of the remaining six A-29 Tucano warplanes from the US in September

The acting US ambassador, Kathleen Fitz Gibbon, gives the assurance during a visit to Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Retired Major General Bashir Maigashi at the defence ministry in Abuja

The expected six aircraft is part of the 12 ordered from the us

The first batch which the Airforce had taken delivery of are light attack aircraft, while the remaining six are for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission

Defense minister thanks the US for the timely deliverance of the aircraft purchased to boost the air component of the ongoing anti-insurgency military operation in the north east region
