NFF delegation visit Carl Ikeme in Hospital

President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick has led a delegation of NFF and team staff to visit Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme in Manchester, where he is being treated for cancer.

Ikeme was diagnosed with acute leukemia during pre-season testing at English club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, last year, and had to undergo chemotherapy.

Ahead of Nigeria’s friendly against Serbia, Pinnick led a delegation including Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, general secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, Super Eagles’ team administrator, Dayo Enebi, and Eagles’ goalkeepers’ trainer, Alloy Agu to see Ikeme.

Pinnick assured Ikeme that he would be fully captured in the team’s financial benefits for Nigeria’s qualification for the FIFA World Cup, having played a part.

On his part, Ikeme touched by the visit thanked the delegation and Nigerians for their support.
