NDLEA nabs suspects with N31m Methamphetamine

A South Africa based Nigerian has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with parcels of substance suspected to be Metamphetamine at Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos.

The suspect, Abiodun Israel Banjo, was arrested while checking into a South Africa Airways flight to South Africa.

The airport NDLEA Commander, Ahmadu Garba, told newsmen the drug seized from the suspect weighed 3,435 kilogramme and had a street value of N31 million.

The suspect, according to NDLEA Commander, is a graduate of Technical College in Ijebu Ode and hails from Osun State.
