The nation’s electricity grid has collapsed again, disrupting power supply nationwide.
The grid, according to the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKDC), collapsed at 2.27 pm on Sunday, cutting off power supply to several parts of the country.
The gradual restoration of the grid is ongoing, but large parts of the nation’s electricity network are still without electricity supply.
The Electricity Distribution Company spokesman, Godwin Idemudia, said the grid collapse affected its transmission stations at Ajah, Akangba, and Agbara.
Last month, the grid also collapsed following rupture in a major gas pipeline, forcing most of the major power plants, such as Egbin, Olorunsogo, Geregu, Omotoso and Afam, to shut down.
