National assembly has issued a 12 point resolutions which they asked President Muhammadu Buhari to address urgently.
The lawmakers in a Joint Executive Emergency Session of both the Senate and House of Representatives, they will invoke their constitutional powers against him if he ignores the resolutions.
Among others, they told the president that he will henceforth be held responsible for all the actions of his appointees, and for failing to sanction any of them who ridicule the country of endanger democracy.
Another highlight of the resolution is that the presidency must protect the sanctity of the national assembly and not interfere in its business, and to prosecute those who stole the National Assembly mace.
They also asked the president to take immediate steps to reduce unemployment and poverty as crude oil price hits $80 per barrel.
