The National Assembly has ruled out the possibility of the passage of the 2018 appropriation bill this week.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara, gave this indication, after a close door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Saraki and Dogara, fielding questions from the state house correspondents after the meeting, explained that efforts will be made to lay the appropriation bill before the assembly this week.
They, however, said the passage of the bill will not be possible until next week.
Saraki and Dogara also said they told the President to direct the Inspector General of Police to obey the rule of law in the police handling of Senator Dino Melaye.
They condemned the police arraignment of the senator on a stretcher before court, saying it is barbaric and embarrassing to Nigeria.
