The fifty seventh annual general meeting and annual conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) will hold in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital on Wednesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 25.
The AGM, according to NACCIMA’s director general, Emmanuel Cobham, will hold at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, on Wednesday at noon.
The annual general conference will follow on Thursday at the same venue to discuss: ‘Enhancing ease of doing business in Nigeria – An impetus to economic recovery and sustainable growth’
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will preside over the conference, while the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo will be the guest of honour.
Also on Thursday, there will be the investiture of the new national president of NACCIMA, Iyalode Alaba Lawson at the marquee of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library by six pm.
The chief host of the event is Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, while Governor Mohammed Abubakar, along with south west state governors, diplomats, captains of industry, and members of the Federal Executive Council are expected.
