N14.5bn brick plant takes off in Ogun

A N4.5 billion kiln and dryer brick factory has taken off at Olapeleke near Ewekoro in Ogun state.

The factory which has the capacity to produce 20 million standard brick annually has been commissioned by Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Amosun said the location of the plant in Ogun State is an indication that it has different types of solid mineral such as limestone, clay and glass sand in commercial quantity.

He urged the factory operators to give indigenes of the host communities the first consideration during recruitment of staff as part of its corporate social responsibility.
