Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has asked the Buhari Admnistration to respond positively to the crisis in the Niger Delta Region to restore peace to the region.
Addressing a news conference in Lagos, he said the expected response from the presidency should be holistic and comprehensive.
Soyinka said his recent visit to president Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, followed requests by some militants who want him to intervene in the crisis.
Refuting reports that he was part of an international effort to resolve the crisis, he said he was contacted to intervene personally and he has been reporting to his contacts personally.
